In a medieval scenario, he settles on the Normandy coast, crosses the English Channel towards England and gets caught between the Christian and Saracen fronts in southern Italy. Here Bjarni and his friends learn new trades and get the first clues to Byzantium, the next target of the search. The legendary wealth of Byzantium lures the Vikings next. The golden roofs of the ancient Eastern Roman Empire, the sophisticated culture and decadent splendor impress the Norse. But this splendor naturally also attracts envious people. You soon find yourself caught up in a whirlwind of intrigue and caught between the fronts of the various power blocs.
