The Disney Team of Heroes app was designed to help support a reimagined patient journey for kids in hospitals, transforming waiting time into time that can be filled with more joy, fun, and sparks of inspiration.

Patients, families and friends are able to celebrate the worlds of Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars with 26 mural activations, 9 games, and 4 stories to give patients enough entertainment to keep them engaged for hours.

The app takes children through a whimsical game board—one showcasing all-new experiences like an augmented reality adventure starring Iron Man and Groot, and “Magic Moments,” a feature that brings animated moments to life with over a dozen of your favorite characters. Select hospitals may also offer an opportunity for patients to spark their imaginations through interactive Disney murals—vibrantly designed to interact with the app in innovative ways!

During “Enchanted Stories,” kids will put their own creative spin on classic tales with interactive storytelling activities inspired by Cars, Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid and The Lion King. And Disney trivia buffs will even be able test their skills with questions and facts centered around Disney’s iconic stories and characters.

Children also have the chance to join Buzz, Woody and the entire Toy Story gang in games like “Playset Party” and “Andy’s Board Game Blast,” find their Happy Thoughts alongside Peter Pan and Tinker Bell in “Off to Never Land,” and blast off to outer space in “Rocket Race.”

Finally, the app provides a simple way for patients to recognize their own strengths and earn awards for certain achievements, including traits like bravery, friendship, honesty and strength.
