In Monuments Men, players take on the role of one of three OSS Specialists (Combat, Demolitions, or Reconnaissance) whose advance team has been assigned the mission of locating and protecting the Art and Antiquities plundered by the Nazis during the war. Players are tasked with neutralizing enemy resistance, deactivating preplanned demolitions, and locating the art and antiquities, all while avoiding or detecting traps within an environment of ever increasing danger as they explore deeper within Austria's Altaussee Mine system.
