Description
Polygon Flips is a puzzle with simple and intuitive mechanics that can nevertheless be quite challenging. The player is presented with a figure composed of regular polygons (triangles, squares, hexagons), each decorated with two colors. Tapping on the space between two polygons reflects them along a common axis, thereby changing the overall pattern created by the polygons. The goal is to create a prescribed pattern. In more advanced levels, disks at the corners of the polygons are flipped together with the polygons and these must also be arranged in a prescribed pattern. This puzzle is a great vehicle for understanding the mathematics of the symmetry groups of regular polygons. Level 29 unlocks a “Shuffle” mode for all levels.
