Description
Talkie Talk is an app designed by speech-language-pathologist Barbara Fernandes. It is designed to support children with limited verbal language, including children with language delays, autism, and who are beginning to learn to use visual support to communicate. Children who are communicating at the one word phrase ( using one word to express wants and needs) will benefit from listening and practicing to combine words to form short two word phrases such as the ones included on this app. It is recommended that parents continue to practice the phrases included on this app throughout the day in a variety of functional contexts to promote understanding of phrases. As children are able to become proficient on dragging the words to create phrases, consider turning off the color coding system on the settings to promote independence. Soon we will be releasing another version of TalkieTot that will support creating three word phrases. Features: - 30 phrases per level ( 90 phrases total) - Child Audio Model of all phrases - Photographs - Symbol Support - Animations
